  • Gota Mix: Add 340 ml of water to Satvam Gota Mix. Mix well to make a batter of dropping consistency. Keep aside for 15 mins.
  • Heat oil in a kadai. Stir the batter vigorously and put spoonfuls of batter in the oil and deep fry gota in oil at a consistent temperature. Drain on absorbent paper and serve hot with Satvam's Red Chutney.
  • Note: You can also make `Fulvadi' from this mixture.
  • Chutney Recipe: Add 100 gms of jaggery into 130 ml of water. Simmer till the jaggery has melted. Add Satvam Red Chutney powder in it and boil it for 3-5 mins. Cool the mixture and serve it with hot Satvam Gota.

Gota is a famous traditional snack popular in western India, especially in Gujarat. Gota is prepared using chickpea flour also known as besan. The preparation may also include garam masala, spices and herbs, and salt, as per the individual preferences.


Gota is prepared by fermenting the chickpea flour paste and deep frying it in hot oil. The authentic taste of gota can be achieved using a specific mix of seasoning only.
